HORROR CHICK's TOP TEN MOVIES... NUMBER 10

This is a hard choice. To ONLY pick 10 HORROR films for my top 10 list.
Well, here goes!

*I will be listng my picks one number at a time (for suspense purposes)starting from LAST pick to my #1 pick!- Check back for more picks!*

NUMBER 10

HORROR CHICK'S TOP TEN HORROR FILMS

10. The Blair Witch Project... When I first heard all the controversy surrounding this film about 3 missing kids from MARYLAND, IT FREAKED ME OUT! Being that it's rather close to home (I LIVE IN MARYLAND)....But after seeing the stars of this film on the MTV AWARDS show I knew that I was the victim of a GREAT viral campaign. One of the FIRST of it's kind that has spawned MANY viral campaigns since. Seeing the movie in the theaters, I DID not get up for anything even though my eyes were starting to float (if you know what I mean) because I DID NOT want to miss the SCARES. The ending of the movie FINALLY came and the coolest scene revealed-creepy basement with one of the kids standing in the corner...I got up from my seat (slowly) and hobbled to the ladie's facilities. Any movie that puts your bladder on hold is worth a spot in my top 10!

In later years, I actually travelled to Burkittsville, MD to visit the location of this BLAIR WITCH hoopla...My findings: Creepy, Historic and if you BLINK you'll miss the town.
BONUS:
There was a cool GRAVITY HILL there that let's you drift uphill in your car while it is in neutral!

Top 10 Horror List by my good friend "NOTLOST"

My BRUTHA-from-another-MUTHA "NOTLOST" sent me an email with HIS list of all time FAVORITE HORROR FILMS. He put it in a TOP 10 format. I met "NOTLOST" while chatting online about my OTHER love that I have for the TV SHOW LOST. He's from IRELAND and he's a BIG HORROR fan too! Enjoy his list!
And if you have a list PLEASE email me : horrorchickmail@gmail.com

NOTLOST's TOP 10 HORROR FILMS

1 THE THING...imo the best horror movie ever made..perfect casting/effects by the crazy Rob Bottin that really shock to this day 25yrs later/a music score by Morricone that sounds like Carpenter...

2 Halloween...the one that got me watching horror movies...I remember being so scared of this when I first saw it as a kid

3 ALIEN...perfect mix of sci-fi and horror

4 RE-ANIMATOR..made in the 80s when so much rubbish was being churned out..its a classic!

5 Dawn of the dead..much imitated/never bettered

6 Shaun of the dead..the exception to the above..SOTD is a lovingly made tribute to Romeros zombie movies, with the added bonus of being hilariously funny and gory

7 The Evil Dead trilogy..Bruce,the clown prince of horror..nuff said!

8 The Fly(Cronenberg)..Shocking to the masses when it was released, which overshadowed a movie that is a classic horror story

9 Jaws..The shark was so crappy Spielberg had to rely on good old fashion shocks and a great music score, and it still works better than most Scary movies to this day

10 Seven...I love the whole mood of this movie, just miserable and horrifying
